The Clean and Simple Boutique Cards class in the Level 1 Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP) reminded me that simple designs can have elegant impact.
I absolutely love the stunning look of the Altenew Antique Gold Pigment Ink with clear embossing powder on this Neenah solar white cardstock 110 lb.
I applied washi tape horizontally across my card base at 3-1/4” from the top and another piece of washi tape at 2-3/4” from the top to make a 1/2” horizontal line. I then used direct ink to paper technique to apply the ink between the two pieces of washi tape. I then carefully removed the washi tape which left me with this beautiful crisp clean edged line across my card. I then added the clear embossing powder to the ink and heat set it with my heat embossing tool.
I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from Altenew’s Build a Flower Lavender stamp set and the flower cluster from Altenew’s Sweet Cluster stamp set in the same Antique Gold ink and heat set that with the clear embossing powder as well.
I fussy cut the flower cluster and applied to the card with foam tape for dimension.
This was such a simple card to make but it has such a wow factor!
