My card is inspired by the In the Mood for Color Altenew class. This card is one of the 20 cards I need to complete as part of my Altenew Educator Certification Program.
I wanted to experiment with embossing paste, iridescent glitter, and watercolors. I was overjoyed with the ethereal affect I created with these products. The colors provide soothing comfort and intrigue.
In my video I have shared how I created this beautiful card. As with all my cards I hope I will provide inspiration to you and spark excitement to use the supplies you have on hand or to use those I have used.

In The Mood for Color: Ethereal Glitter & Sparkle Directions
Size: 5.5″ x 4.25″ Card Base / 5.5″ x 4.25″ Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy Cardstock and is 11″x4.25″ and scored at 5.5″
Apply embossing paste over the Altenew Mega Bloom stencil onto the Stampin’ Up! watercolor panel.
Sprinkle Iridescent glitter over the Stampin’ Up! embossing paste and dried thoroughly.
Dab Deep Blue Seas, Lapis Lazuli, Crystal Water and Shades of Purple watercolors from Altenew’s Artist 24 Pan Set onto the embossing paste and the rest of the card panel to create this stunning panel. You could use Stampin’ Up! ink refills or ink pads in Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, Gorgeous Grape, and Highland Heather to achieve a similar look.
Mount the watercolor panel measures 5.25″ x 4″ to the Night of Navy card base with foam tape.
I used a Happy Birthday sentiment, however, feel free to use whatever sentiment you choose. The sentiment was made using white embossing powder which was heat set and then attached with foam tape.
